Following the catastrophic world war that left humanity on the brink of extinction, Survivors rebuilt establishing communities amidst the devastated terrain.
Roaming gangs of men, referred to as the slavers, dominated the wastelands, abducting people and plundering settlements. Human beings become mere commodities, captured and sold into slavery.
Emma lived with her mom Laura, brother Harry and boyfriend Tyrone in a settlement hidden away in the countryside. But then the peace was shattered when her settlement came under attack by slavers.
They went house to house, abducting people. When they reached her house, Emma hid with her family beneath her bed. The slavers broke down the door, searching each room, eventually they entered her bedroom where they discovered the family hiding.
They pulled them out from under the bed, dragged outside and forced them to walk miles to the slavers' compound, where they were confined in cramped cells.
Then armed men entered the cells and began to inspect the captives. Emma and Tyrone were picked and taken away. They were shackled in chains and dragged to the slave markets.
Suddenly loud explosions and gunfire rang out.
Resistance fighters had launched a surprise attack on the slavers compound. Emma and Tyrone were rescued and taken to the safety of the resistance territory.
There, they were taken to meet Emily, the group’s leader. She explained the resistance were fighting against the slavers to end their barbaric slave trade.
She guaranteed them food and lodging, but requested they join the resistance. However, if they preferred not to join, they were free to depart.
Emma and Tyrone agreed to join the resistance on the condition that they could participate in a raid to save her mom and brother from the slavers.
Emily consented but insisted that they had to complete combat training first.
Later that day Emma and Tyrone explored the settlement, they discovered this was a female led society, where women made up the majority of the fighters. The men were primarily at home, handling household chores.
After days of intense training Emma and Tyrone were ready to join the fight.
Later that evening Emma lay in bed with Tyrone, but the tranquillity had been replaced by the sounds of gunfire. The settlement had come under attack by the slavers.
Emma and Tyrone jolted out of bed and sprinted toward the armory grabbing their weapons. Emma fought shoulder‑to‑shoulder with Tyrone against the enemy.
The slavers, once confident in their overwhelming force, began to falter. Their lines broke. Their advance collapsed. They fled.
Emily was wounded in the battle, but wanted to end the slavers reign of terror once and for all. She instructed Emma to lead the fighters into battle.
At dawn Emma stood alongside Tyrone outside the slavers settlement, she stormed the stronghold, her fighters surging behind her. The slavers fell one by one beneath the relentless assault.
Emma pressed forward, with a single purpose. At last, she reached her mom and brother, freeing them from captivity.
