the jolly old man Santa claus-
broke the north poles workers by laws-
the elf's toiled all night and day-
for a daily pittance called their pay.
reported by his brother-in-law-
was this the end of old Mr clause-
with the elf's downing their tools to go on strike-
they stopped making toys and like.
it looked like there would be no Christmas this year-
and the children would have absolutely no cheer-
many tears would be involved-
if this debacle remained unsolved.
so the commission met that night-
to quickly make things oh so right-
the elf's union stood by their side-
so their demands couldn't be pushed aside.
the union had Santa by his beard-
so the elves jumped and cheered-
it looked like the day would be saved-
if Santa could remain well behaved.
upon his sleigh Santa could now astride-
with his trusty reindeers by his side-
he knows they wouldn't create any mayhem-
as long as he feeds them am to the pm.
now is the time to put on his red Santa suit-
get ready for his annual commute-
with rain or with snow he must still forge ahead-
for it's time for lots of cheer and magic to be spread.
with the world's children tucked tightly in their beds-
the sleigh is packed and the reindeers fed-
to Mrs clause he must wave goodbye-
leave the north pole and race through the December sky.
